1 〔遠ざかる〕 escape; get off [away]; elude; flee; make one's escape [getaway]. [＝にげる]

・親[敵]の目を逃れる escape detection by one's parents [an enemy]

・難を逃れる flee a disaster; find safety [refuge]; escape disaster

●都会を逃れて農村に移り住んだ. He left [escaped from, fled] the city and went to live in a village in the country.
